KnightHauler, LLC. was formed in early 2008, however, the Knight’s have been working on this Peterbilt conversion project since late 2006.  We entered the specialty hauler market because we recognized a need for a well-built, new generation Peterbilt conversion product.  As we set out to find the right conversion company for the KnightHauler, our goal was not to build a similar product, but to build a better product than the competition.  We had a lot of knowledge about the transportation industry, but we needed to find the right manufactures to make this product special.  After endless phone calls and a lot of research, we decided that Peterbilt and Weldon Manufacturing would be able to take the KnightHauler vision and make it reality.  KnightHauler is very pleased with the expertise and the product quality that both Peterbilt and Weldon Manufacturing produce.  Our initial plan was to only build and sell the Peterbilt 384, but we quickly recognized that there is a need for medium duty trucks as well.  We turned to the Peterbilt 335 and 325 to meet this need.  We will also be building other models on a special order basis. We are very excited to grow our business and make lasting relationships with all of our new customers.

Weldon Manufacturing, based in Fort Worth, Texas, has been providing products and services to the transportation industry since 1969.  Weldon Manufacturing originally provided painting and collision services, but in 1980 they changed their focus to modifying truck sleepers.  Weldon Manufacturing changed ownership in 1997.  Since the change the efforts have been to increase product quality, develop new products, improve existing products, and increase the level of customer service.
